Family Minute #2

Think Fun and Games are Just Child’s Play?

According to the National Academy of Sciences, “A child’s eventual ability to learn calculus or a second language starts with the neurons that are shaped by positive interactions with nurturing adults.” In other words, wrestling on the floor with your kids, tickling them, riding bikes or hiking together, laughing over a game of checkers, or throwing the ball in the backyard is setting the stage for their bright intellectual future. Interaction with your kids isn’t just fun, it’s fundamental in shaping their ability to learn. So get serious about playtime.

Remember your family first.
