As a single parent, I have much to feel proud of. When struggling, emotionally or physically, I forget about all the things I do each day just so my children and I will have a fruitful life.
- I'm on call 24/7.
- I make sure the kids are up in time to get ready for school each morning.
- I kiss every boo-boo.
- I recognize my children as uniquely gifted and valuable individuals.
- I tuck them in at night and make sure they're getting enough rest.
- I plan every birthday celebration, Easter celebration, 4th of July celebration, Christmas celebration, New Year's celebration, and all the other holidays & surprises we celebrate just by being together.
- I make breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day.
- I help my children with their homework.
- I have created a warm and loving home.
- I am the one who gets up at night when they're sick.
- I am the one who misses work to take care of them.
- I have taught them the value of friendship.
- I plan fun activities.
- I am teaching them the value of hard work.
- I am teaching them the value of money by spending carefully.
- I help my children make good decisions on a daily basis.
- I answer all their questions.
- I read to them.
- I keep an eye on how much TV they watch.
- I am teaching them to be organized in every aspect of their lives.
- I am teaching them the difference between "wants" and "needs."
- I have taught them be responsible for themselves.
- I demonstrate resilience and determination every day.
- My children know they're loved.
- My children love me.

This is an amazingly beautiful post! This is why mothering is priceless...no one could afford to pay you for all you do:).
Hugs...
Thanks, Phyllis, for stopping by. There are days I have to search high and low to find the "silver lining" of being a single mother so posts like this help boost my confidence.
You go girl! You have every reason to be proud. Motherhood isn't easy and I have the utmost respect for single moms. Way to go!
Thanks, Kristen. I appreciate your kind words.
