In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is a day to take it easy, so Kailani thought that Fridays is a good day to take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
My question this week is:
What do you do to celebrate Independence Day/July 4th?
My answer:
The weekend closest to July 4th my sister, Dayna, usually has a picnic for all of the family and friends. By the end of the day there are about 100 people in attendance. My oldest brother, 
Howard, buys the fireworks each year and puts on a magnificent show for us.
On the Fourth of July, my kids and I do sparklers and poppers when it gets dark and then sit and tell stories (not necessarily ghost stories) until they're tired.
If our city has fireworks then we go see the fireworks. Then go to my friend's house for a bonfire. Our community doesn't have fireworks each year due to cost.

Normally we spend it with family, a couple cookouts, the town parade, fireworks. But we just moved 1,000 miles away from our family and friends so I honestly have no idea what we will do this year. I'm sure we'll find something to do, to celebrate with just the three of us. :)

A friend always hosts a July 4 party at her house on the lake. Beach volleyball, swimming, boating, food and fireworks. Fun, Fun! Aloha.

Although we live here, we aren't Americans so the day does not have the same connotation to us as it does to citizens of the country, but we do love a good party!
Any given year it may change on where we happen to be, but this year my daughter's best friend's family has invited us to celebrate with them. They live outside city limits (where fireworks are not allowed to be shot off in neighborhoods) so the show should be great! (and the s'mores, give me some s'mores!)

Since its the day after my birthday I'm usually recooperating lol
we take the kids to a parade. bbq and watch fireworks
we don't do much since our kiddos are little still... probably grill something and then hubby and I will watch the fireworks from out front
We tend to hang out at home and make either hot dogs or hamburgers on the George Foreman grill. This year we'll probably go outside and watch the fireworks downtown from our apartment balcony.
Our neighborhood has a parade and race and fireworks and a community picnic with $1 beer! This year we will actually be at friends house for 2 days up near the Chesapeake Bay - will be fun!
I wish you lived close, You can watch a spectacular show from my back yard. I'd LOVE to have you and the kids over! Bar-B-Q, family, friends, and a huge block party!

We usually go over to my grandfather's house and bbq and watch the fireworks from his driveaway and this year I am starting out the day by running a 5k fun run. :)
We don't usually do anything for the 4th of July. In fact, we're not even allowed to play fireworks in our community.
