Works for Me Wednesday #6

If you been a regular reader of my Works for Me Wednesday posts here at All Things Cherished, you know I love it when a product has more than once use.

Again, this week we have a product that is multi-talented.

Petroleum Jelly

  • Protect your furniture. Dab water marks with petroleum jelly and let sit for 24 hours. Wipe off excess and polish furniture as usual.
  • Protect your light bulbs. Rub a little petroleum jelly on the threads of the bulb before you screw it in (especially for outside lights where dirt and dust can cause the bulbs to stick) and it wont stick again.
  • Protect your nails. Dab petroleum jelly on the skin around nails to prevent hangnails and to soften cuticles.
  • Protect your pet. Rub a little petroleum jelly on your cat's or dog's cracked paw to soothe the discomfort.
  • Protect your hair. In a pinch, rub petroleum jelly on the roots of the hair (instead of hair grease) to make braids, cornrows, etc., neater.
  • Protect your lips. Rub a little petroleum jelly on the lips to prevent chapped lips.
  • Protect your tools. Rub a little petroleum jelly on your gardening tools before storing to prevent rust.

Wow, that's a list! There's a lot of good uses for it, that's for sure! We like to put it on our feet, and then put socks on, to soften those rough heels.
